Name: | Moth |
---|---|
Birthdate: | Jan 11 |
Moth is from A Midsummer Night's Dream, and is the property of William Shakespeare. They appear here solely for the purpose of role-playing in
milliways_bar, from which no profit whatsoever is being made.
As a servant in the court of Titania, Queen of the Fairies, Moth has been tasked with a lot of strange duties. Hanging dewdrops on cowslips is the usual fare, but occasionally more interesting things have come up: playing nursemaid and nursery-mate to the Queen's adopted son, for instance, or doing the bidding of her latest mortal fling.
Or, more usually, being ignored by her latest mortal fling. Moth is a particularly unassuming, soft-spoken member of the Queen's retinue, even whispier and less-noted than that floaty little Cobweb. That suits her fine, and it suits the Queen as well. Sometimes it's useful to have a servant that even the other fae will overlook.
Moth has an unfortunate attraction to candles and other bright lights.
Like all faeries, Moth has the ability to shift her shape and appearance at will. She has the wings of an Io moth, which are generally folded along her back. They'd probably pass for a brown cape, if she wanted them to.
Moth also has the traditional weaknesses associated with fairies, in particular an aversion to iron.
